Visitor Center

A visit to Joseph Priestley House begins in our Visitor Center, where an introductory exhibit and 10-minute orientation film depict the life and achievements of Joseph Priestley. Visitors can also purchase tickets for guided tours of Priestley's manor house and laboratory and shop in the museum store. Guided tours begin on the hour from at 1, 2 and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday afternoon from March 14, 2010 until November 28, 2010. Hours and programs subject to change. Call ahead to confirm tour times. Group tours at other dates and times can be arranged with advance notice.

Two picnic tables are available on the grounds for the convenience of visitors.

The Priestley House Museum is open for the 2010 Season on weekend afternoons from Sunday, March 14 until Sunday, November 28, 2010.

Operating hours will be from 1 to 4 PM with tours at 1, 2 and 3 PM. Hours and programs subject to change. Call ahead to confirm tour times. Group tours can be arranged for other days and times with advance notice. The site is staffed by volunteers coordinated by the Friends of Joseph Priestley House.

  • Reduced (seniors age 65+ years of age; inquire about other reduced admission offers) $5.50
  • Youth (3-11 years of age) $4.00
  • Children 2 years of age and under admitted free
  • Active Military Duty and Immediate family admitted free
  • We do not accept credit cards for admissions or purchases at the gift shop. Cash and checks only.
